Privacy notice

This page describes how ScrapCollect uses personal information for scrap collection bookings. It is an operational summary, not legal advice. Have a qualified adviser review and replace this text before public launch.

What we collect

Name, phone number, email, collection address and postcode, preferred contact method, item descriptions, photos you upload, preferred collection date/window, and payment records when you pay by card.

Why we use it

To check service coverage, arrange collection, take or reconcile payment, contact you about your booking, assign work to collectors, and keep records needed for operations and applicable waste documentation.

Who we share it with

Service providers that power booking (hosting, database, email/SMS, address lookup, card payments). Assigned collectors only receive the customer details needed to complete an assigned job. We do not sell your personal information.

Retention

Booking, payment and waste-related records are kept for as long as needed for operations, dispute handling and legal retention duties. Exact retention periods should be confirmed with your adviser and documented here before launch.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal data, and to complain to the ICO. Contact details for privacy requests must be added here before launch.
